Visiting a church for the first time can feel unfamiliar. We want to make it simple.
Whether you have been to church before, have been away for a long time, or are just curious about faith, you are welcome at MSCC.
When And Where - Join us this Sunday
We meet every Sunday at 10:00am.
Mount Salem Community Church
6576 Springfield Road
Aylmer, Ontario
Our service is usually about 75 minutes.
What To Expect
What happens during a service?
A Sunday service at MSCC includes music, prayer, a few announcements, and a time of teaching.
The words for the songs are shown on screens. You are welcome to sing along, listen quietly, or simply take it all in. After the music, someone will share a message that helps connect faith in Jesus with everyday life. If anything feels new to you, that is completely okay. You can participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
Arrival
What should I do when I arrive?
Most people arrive 10-15 minutes before the service begins. After you have parked, go to the main entrance which is on the west (road facing) side of the building. When you enter you will be greeted by one of our welcome team members. As you enter the main auditorium there is a coffee station and you can take a seat. If you have any questions you can ask any of the welcome team or go to the “Next Steps” corner and the volunteers there will help out. You do not need to register before you come.
Dress
What should I wear?
Wear whatever feels comfortable.
Some people dress casually, and others dress up a little. There is no dress code.
No Pressure
Will I be singled out?
No. We will not ask you to stand up, introduce yourself, or do anything that puts you on the spot.
You are welcome to come, observe, and take your time.
What about my kids?
Kids are welcome at MSCC! Children’s church is available during the Sunday service for children from toddler age through Grade 5. (*During June, July and August the grades 1-5 classrooms shut down and kids join us for the main service. There is a clipboard of activities that the kids can grab in the back to help them follow along with the morning.)
Kids are cared for in a safe, age-appropriate environment where they can have fun, build friendships, and learn about Jesus. If it is your first time, plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can help you check your child in. Your children are also welcome to stay with you in the service if that feels better for your family.
Do I have to give money?
No. Giving is something our regular church family does as part of our worship and commitment to MSCC.
As our guest, please do not feel any pressure to give. We are simply glad you are here.
Do I need to believe before I come?
No. MSCC is a place for people who follow Jesus and for people who are still exploring. Questions, doubts, and curiosity are welcome here.
Can I watch online first?
Yes. If you would feel more comfortable watching before visiting in person, you can join us through our livestream which can be found on our youtube page and our facebook page.
Have a question before Sunday?
We would be glad to help. If you have questions about kids, accessibility, where to go, or what to expect, contact us anytime.
